Old Portsmouth Photographs

Photographs of Old Portsmouth

This is the outcome of my street photography inspired photographs taken in Old Portsmouth.

~
Amongst all of the photographs I have taken these 5 are my favourites:

This one is of my friend Hayley who is taking a photograph of the sea. I like it because it shows the hot walls in the background and it also shows the subject behaving naturally as they didn't know the photo was being taken.

This photo is of a stranger putting something into the bin. I like this photo as the subject didn't know the photo was being taken, and it is also something you would see everyday, but never think of capturing on camera.
This photo is of a can of Monster Ripper energy drink balancing on top of a rock next to the sea. I like this photograph as it shows juxtaposition: the way the empty can of energy drink is impure and a piece of litter next to the natural calmness and purity of the sea. I also like the way the calm and still and beautiful in the background which is what I was inspired to capture on camera from the photograph in my previous blog post.
This photo shows two men working on the front of a building. I like this photo as it is something which happens a lot but you never look up enough to notice most of the time.
This photo is of the famous Portsmouth landmark the spinnaker tower. I like this photograph as it captures the whole tower looking majestic and beautiful although the clouds are dark.
