Advert Assignment: Fashion Photography

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

For this assignment I was asked to use photography to advertise either a fragrance, music or fashion. I chose to advertise the fashionable clothing outlet River Island as it is a shop I personally love as it sells amazing clothing. I began by doing some research into existing fashion photography. I created a blog containing all of the fashion photographs I found inspiring, and which I could to inspire my own photo's. This can be found here:

I then planned various things such as:

• Who my model would be.
• What my model would wear.
• Where I would take these photographs.

I decided on having my friend Hayley as my model for these photographs as she is pretty and photogenic. The location of these photo's are Southsea, Old Portsmouth and my bedroom.

Here are the various photographs I have taken to advertise fashion.

This is the photograph I have decided to use for my final advert. I chose this one because you can see all of her clothing nicely and i also like the way she is looking over to one side. I am going to add some text in the background including the River Island.
